Preface
I grew up on the masters of science fiction. The stories were amazing. They took us to other worlds, imagined fantastic situations, predicted how we’d someday live.
The one thing missing was characters we could root for. The stories themselves were astounding, but they were almost completely plot-driven.
We’re living in tumultuous times. If we ever needed an uplifting story about the great potential of mankind, this would be it!

When Irena and five other "teen delinquents" are sent to a boot camp in space, they refuse to obey the airmen in charge, and rebel. In a tragic accident, all but one of the airmen are killed. Shortly afterwards, when aliens invade Earth, the teens are thrust into the position of being mankind's only hope of defeating the technologically advanced invaders.
